Policies Update

Different styles of hatsHats on Fridays

Beginning on the first day of school, hats may

only be worn by students on FRIDAYS.

They may also be worn on specific designated spirit days, as part of a spirit week.

Lunch tables in a cafeteriaLunch

This year we are allowing our students to

sit as a grade in the lunchroom, instead of specifically sitting at a class table.

This is an effort to allow our students greater access to friends within their grade levels. Please know this is a privilege and should lunchroom expectations be a challenge for any grade/grades, then we may need to fall back to having class specific tables for those grades.

As many of you may be aware, Governor Cox has outlined specific legislation recently regarding phones in schools. Our school district board met last week and decided on some new and updated policies for our students.

Please take note of the following:

Student's personal electronic devices must be stowed away in a backpack or secured by the student and set to a mode where notifications cannot be received. Students may not use a personal electronic device to send or receive messages or make phone calls during the school day.

If a student needs to communicate with a parent, the student may use a personal electronic device in the office with permission.
